Tis the week before Kris Kringle arrives in town and we have all been busy knitting warm and wooly things- scarves in extra thick merino, mittens in a rainbow of colours, slippers with pompoms, self-patterning socks, ribbed toques, fingerless gloves, and cosy cowls.
While the malls are packed with frantic shoppers, in search of perfect gifts, knitters are taking cover from all the jingle and jangle, to find a cosy place at home, and enjoy the quietness of the season. There is still enough time to knit a few more gifts for friends and family.
Ruffle mania has spread across the country with these scarf yarns from Katia in the previous post becoming all the rage. There are long waiting lists for when the next shipment arrives, and the latest word is that it has cleared customs and is on the way with a few minor delays that only heighten the fever and make it the yarn that saved Christmas!
