Debbie Bliss Spring/Summer 2013 Magazine

Its here!  Unfortunately not the first signs of Spring, but equally as exciting- the DEBBIE BLISS SPRING/SUMMER KNITTING MAGAZINE has just arrived and it is filled with fresh colour, great styles for the whole family and lots of interesting articles to read.

In this issue, Debbie Bliss sets up four storyboards for her latest collection of knitwear, Great Gatsby Style, Candyland, Green Pastures, and Flower Children, each section breathtakingly photographed and styled to a daydreamer's delight.  We get a peek inside her London workspace, where she walks us through her design process, and recreates how her colourful inspiration boards come to life.  A recent visit to Mexico is highlighted in Nell's Diary, beaded, pleated, and lace rib stitches are discussed in the workshop section.

Debbie's influence this season is 1920's flapper style and what perfect timing, as a remake of The Great Gatsby will debut in theatres this May. The backdrop for these elegant designs is a posh estate in England.

A walk through a Spring meadow sets the mood for Greener Pastures, with designs knit in Eco Baby and Bella.

Little tykes are featured in Flower Children, and this fairisle vest is cute as a button for boys sized one to five years.

This sweet lace edged cardigan is sure to be a favorite project, perfectly suited in size two to five years.

Spring is the perfect time for a light layer of fluffy kid mohair and this pretty pastel shrug will go lovely with all the new florals.
