Summer Coolers

Its officially summertime!! Stock up on pink lemonade, and frozen Popsicles, its going to be a scorcher of a summer.  But don't put away the knitting needles, there are lots of breezy outdoor spots to relax in a Muskoka chair and cast on a few stitches.

Here are the newest summer coolers in the store this week-

A floaty little sleeveless top knit in Katia Hydra on circular needles makes for easy finishing.  An eyelet border adds a pretty scalloped edge at the bottom.  Top it off with this summer's version of the ruffle scarf in cool linen and cotton.  It takes just one skein and a couple of hours to whip it up and for under ten dollars its a great gift idea if you are visiting friends.  Available in neutral (shown above) or pink parfait.

Dig out those mammoth needles, remember the ones we used for condo and broomstick style knitting (size 15 mm) and knit up this great little topper in an hour or less.  Knit in Katia Bossa Nova.  Available in light mocha mix (shown above), greige linen, lavender mix, or blue bayou.

Evening knitting classes are starting in early July and will continue throughout the summer months.  If you are looking to brush up on your skills, cast on for the first time or just knit along at your own pace, join us on Tuesday nights 7-9 pm.  705-645-5819 to book your seat.

AZAHAR

Well....... if you thought ruffle scarves were just for the winter have a look again as Katia continues to set the bar higher and higher with futuristic yarns.  We have just knit up this summerlicious scarf in AZAHAR, a very unique woven ribbon in a lovely cotton blend, the perfect accessory to dress up a plain T shirt or a denim jacket.  One skein makes this scarf in an afternoon and all for under ten dollars!  It is also a fabulous embellishment for instant pizazz as an edging on a plain sweater or a few accent rows on a cardigan.

Here are the two colour choices in a honey beige/white or a silver grey/white-
