Spring Sampling Two

If we can trust our furry friend, Wiarton Willie, Spring is just about within reach, shyly peeking at us from around the corner.  Now is the time to cast on for warm weather knitting, and stay ahead of the season.  The average woman's sweater can take up to forty hours to knit!  Sirdar has added a little glitter to its cotton line, so subtle you may not even see it in these images, but scroll down to the bottom of this post and there it is, close up.

Ella is a new dk weight cotton blend, machine washable, very soft to the touch and lightweight which means excellent yardage.  Clementine, Peppermint, Hollywood, Summer Storm are just some of the pretty shades available, with a book of sixteen sun-kissed styles for little girls and women.

Twice as nice!  Two lovely shawls for breezy days, how can you choose between these??  The first one shown in 'Summer Storm' is a triangular design with a ruffled border, and the second is a rectangular design in a pretty leaf stitch with long fringes.  Shown in 'Hollywood'.

Every summer outfit needs a little cardigan!  This design has optional long or three-quarter sleeves, and shows off the the subtle sparkle very nicely with a seed stitch and eyelet combination.  Shown above in 'Candy Pink' and 'Pearlescent'.
