Revved Up For Fall

All it takes is a spell of drizzly days with cooler than average nights to bring in eager Fall knitters.  Another large shipment of new yarns and designs arrived this week, and somehow store samples appeared almost by magic (enter elves with fingers that fly).

Here are some of the new samples knit up and on display-

An updated version of this summer's very popular Linen Scarf is now on display, this time its knit in a cotton ribbon with lots of drape and swirl action from a combination of cables and lace on 8.00 mm needles.  If you are on the go and just looking for a quick project to grab in a hurry, this might be the one, available also in kiwi green, watermelon pink, and berry purple

From scarves to shawls, and ready for Fall!  This eye-catching chevron design is knit in a heathery soft wool with four colours inspired by the changing leaves that eventually will come our way.  Finish it off with a wooden shawl pin for versatility or add a few buttons and make it easy to slip over.

Vests are showing a strong presence again in the new pattern books.  Layer a vest over just about any outfit, and feel cosy and warm without big bulky sleeves.  This Sirdar design is knit in a bamboo wool blend that is easy to wash by hand or machine and feels so silky soft.  The sampler style pattern will keep your interest as you change from seed stitch to diagonal rib to cables with a few rows of garter stitch inbetween.  Available in dove grey, faded denim, cream, lilac, and palest sage, just to mention a few............the stylish banded hat is our most recent sample, and shows off a brand new tweed merino wool in a charcoal grey with a side bow knit in red merino.  Choose your colour combo from earthy brown, teal, or beige tweed and snazz it up with a bright pop of red or purple.
