Winter Warmers

Its the middle of winter and some days feel more like a drizzly day in March or April. The weather has been milder than normal in Muskoka and it is already the last weekend in January.

Knitting season is hitting full stride with a flurry of ruffle yarns still at the top of the list. Another shipment is due in before the end of the month, with some lively new colourways. The big and bulky yarns are becoming more and more popular, cosy, and soft, some mixed with silky bamboo, perfect for cold weather accessories for kids or adults. Sock yarns are going fast as knitters pack smaller projects to travel south. One ball of sock yarn and four tiny needles doesn't take up much room in your luggage and will give you hours of knitting relaxation.

Cosy cowls and warm wristlets are the favorite weekend projects right now. We have a wide range of cowl kits in different styles and cabled wristlets with or without a thumb gusset.

The redesigned Knit Kits are now in stock, with an extra tool included, a needle gauge!! Hot pink is the latest colour and just in time for V Day gifts.

Arriving this week-

Gorgeous indie dyed merino from a local artisan in lace, worsted and sock weights in dreamy colours to inspire an exciting new project.

Debbie Bliss Spring/Summer 2012 Magazine hot off the press with bright happy colours in stripes, chevrons, and nautical motifs. Don't miss the special journal section highlighting Debbie and Nell's visit to Muskoka last Fall!!

Happy Knitting!
