.......and More Fresh Yarn

For a knitter what can be more exciting then unpacking big boxes of fresh new yarns! There has been a steady influx of shipments arriving over the last few weeks, so much so that its getting to be an exact science, knowing exactly what time of the day the courier truck will pull up to the curb outside the window. Most of the Fall orders were placed months ago, and I can't remember exactly what is arriving until I have my box cutter in hand, and slice through the cardboard top, revealing the mystery of which yarns are inside.

Here is a peek at some of this week's fresh yarn-

The Fall/Winter 2010 Debbie Bliss Knitting Magazine is here! And its packed full of bright, bold colour, reviving the art of fair isle and argyle knitting. There is a wonderful Scottish influence, as well as a Nordic theme for many of the designs. The projects range from beginner to advanced, with lots of smaller gift items to practise your stranding technique on. Its the perfect read for a cool evening at home, sitting with a cup of tea. For more images of Debbie's projects in her latest issue- check out the Diamond Blog

The weather is changing quickly and our knitting classes are filling up. The Thursday afternoon session is already full, but we still have some room in the Wednesday session, starting September 22 1-3 pm.

Happy Knitting!
