Sliding Into March

February has slid by as quickly as a slippery run down the luge track at Whistler, with all the heart pounding excitement of the Winter Games to keep us riveted to our seats over the past two weeks. It has also brought on a flurry of knitting. How many projects did you complete between sporting events? We may not own the podium, but Canada does own the GOLD! as of this second last day of competition. Lets cheer for our hockey team and hope they remain focused to bring in another victory for Canada on Sunday.

As we head into March, and catch the first glimpses of Spring, our calendar if filling up with new workshops and Knit-A-Longs.

Saturday March 6th 1-3 pm

Learn the Technique

of Entrelac Knitting

Saturday March 20th 1-3 pm

as an Embellishment

We will also be hosting a Kids Learn To Knit Workshop and a Bearmaking Workshop during the March Break.

Luscious new yarns and patterns have started to arrive for Spring knitting. Sirdar, Katia, and Louisa Harding designs are all in stock now. The latest Debbie Bliss magazine has arrived with lovely fresh styles, in cardigans, tunics, sleeveless pullovers and long sleeve sweaters. As well, a home decor section and a pleasing mix of baby knits. Her style is always natural and simple to knit.

Amalfi is the newest yarn in the Debbie Bliss Collection, a natural mix of Cotton, Linen, and Silk, in cheery shades of Watermelon, Kiwi, Robin's Egg Blue and Sand Beige.
