Debbie Bliss At The Wharf

It could not have been a more spectacular weekend as knitters flocked to the Muskoka Wharf to meet Debbie Bliss. We started off with a Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard the RMS Segwun. The weather was idyllic with a sunset painted to perfection, and the dinner was delicious!

Debbie Bliss and her daughter Nell were welcomed in Muskoka with such gracious hospitality and genuine warmth. Knitters came from as far south as Texas, and as far north as Timmins to meet 'n' greet their favorite knitwear designer and share a special weekend event.

Here are some of the highlights from the fun-filled two day event at the Muskoka Wharf-

Debbie and her daughter Nell arrived early at the dock to prepare for boarding the RMS Segwun on Friday evening. Blue skies, a balmy breeze and sunlight dancing on the water.

Fiery Terry the Stilt Walker is on hand to wave us off as we leave for a three hour cruise on Lake Muskoka.

Debbie shares some humour with her fans and we give her a little bit of history about Muskoka.

The book signing gets underway on the freight deck, and everyone received one of Debbie's latest books along with a lovely gift bag full of goodies. Noella Labonte was the lucky winner of The Wear Your Bliss Event. She spent part of her summer meticulously knitting away on the cable and bobble cardigan in Eco Aran.

1...2...3...... ladies dig into those gift bags!!

Right on cue the sun sets behind us as we are finishing the first course. Our group was too big for one dining room, so we split into two areas.

After dinner, we have a doorprize to give away. A very ecstatic Donna Brown is the winner of a lovely Angel giftpack.

That moon cast a magical spell on all of us as it led the captain back to the Wharf.

Early Saturday morning the first knitters arrive at the marketplace to preview the newest Fall yarns and design books from Debbie Bliss.

After a wonderful presentation, Debbie delights her audience with an interactive fashion show and personal fittings. This charcoal Paloma jacket was a huge hit!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the blissful event and helped to make it a smashing success!
