The Early Bird Delivery

The early bird gets the worm (or yarn) so to speak and when you think how short our summer truly is, it is never too soon to knit for cooler weather.  How else will you keep up with all the beautiful designs you have been eyeing.

Just in this week from Mirasol, SAMI is a Peruvian highland wool strikingly unique with eight self-drifting colourways.  Each one is a surprise waiting to unfurl and if you look closely, there is a strong resemblance to bird feathers!  Meridian and Bluebird (shown below) are just two of the new arrivals nesting quite comfortably in the shelves.

Here are a few of the newest designs knit in Sami-

Design #M5035 is an A-line jacket with three-quarter sleeves and a flattering face-framing collar.  All borders are worked in as you go, and two buttons add the finishing touch.  Knit in Bluebird.

Design #M5031 is a longer length tunic with side openings for extra ease and a stylish split cowl neck with wooden toggles.  Seed stitch stripes interplay with the colouring.  Knit in Hummingbird.

Design #M5032 is a casual go-to style for weekends.  Saddle shoulders and a celtic cable panle are the accents to this completely reversible pullover with a roll neckline.  Knit in Riverbed.

NEW From Mirasol

Can you glimpse any signs of Spring yet?  Maybe a green leaf or a robin sighting??  How about a quick look at what just arrived from Mirasol for Spring.

A lightweight yarn, in a natural mix of bamboo, merino and silk, Nuna has incredible drape and sheen.  This A-line suntop in dramatic Cobalt blue is reversible and features an interesting bobble and lace inset, plus a squared neckline and armholes.

Another lightweight design in Nuna, this time in the colour of the year, Emerald, a bright and happy contrast to navy blue, royal, white or black.  This lace panel vest features longer fronts and a shorter back with a button tab for a finished look.

A classic crew neck design with allover eyelets is super breezy to wear.  The sleeves and body are knit in one piece for easy seaming.  Knit in a clear Turquoise shade of Nuna.

Mirasol has added a gorgeous glossy pima cotton to their Spring/Summer line-up, Illaris knits as a dk weight and feels and looks like pure silk.  This lace collar sleeveless top features the prettiest drape neckline and very subtle A-line shaping with fishtail panels on both the front and back.  Quite stunning in robin's egg blue, sage green, pewter, or sky blue.

Smooth lines radiate polished sophistication in this design knit in Illaris.  No-fuss edgings feature turnback hems and check out those softly pleated sleeves.

Another pretty design in Illaris, a classic cardigan with slightly frilled lace edgings knit in a contrast colour.  An ideal topper for summer dresses.

Springy Knits From Mirasol

This season's newest darling from Mirasol is ASIKITA, a cabled pima cotton yarn softly enhanced with baby alpaca. The colours are stunning and the designs by Jane Ellison show off this aran weight yarn's best features whether its lace, texture or cables.

Have a look for yourself-
