Georgian Bay Fibre Has Arrived

We are very excited to welcome in spring with a fresh addition to our collection from a new indie yarn dyer based in Parry Sound.  Kilcoursie Fingering is spun from Bluefaced Leicester, a long staple wool fibre mixed with nylon for durability.  This is a gorgeous sock yarn with a vintage feel, completely friendly for both the washing machine and dryer.  One skein will make a pair of adult socks and if you are looking for other ideas, it is also great for accessories or kids knits.

 GEORGIAN BAY FIBRE COMPANY

We have nine gorgeous colourways now in stock, each one inspired by the rugged beauty of the Georgian Bay landscape- Bala Cranberry, Wakefield Lilac, Severn Forest Spruce, Aspen Valley Fawn, Rosseau Pumpkin, French River Blueberry, Franklin Island Lichen, McKellar Honey, and Rose Point Aster.

Drop in and see them for yourself.

Socksational

Handknit socks are hot!  They are one of those projects that are always in demand with knitters, once you make a pair and present them to someone special, be prepared!  You will be asked for many more!!  Small and portable, socks are great for on the go knitters, whether it is on an airplane (make sure you take wooden needles), waiting in a doctor's office, or sitting through a child's hockey practise, a ball of sock yarn and double pointed needles stash easily inside a purse or a big pocket.

This month, celebrate SOCKTOBER!  Join a class and try your hand at sock knitting for the first time, or pick up the needles and get back to a pair you may have started a year ago.

Just in-

HOT SOCKS by Grundl is a mix of 75% superwash wool for cosy warmth with 25% nylon for durability.  These are 100g balls which easily make an adult pair of socks, knit on 2.75 mm needles an dpriced well below other sock yarns.
